1. THOUGHT
Architecture must be well thought out. Building a home or a building is commonly the biggest investment of money and energy for most peoples’ lives. A building must be designed to it’s proper site to identify hardships as well as opportunities. Just because a building exists doesn’t mean it was well thought out. Initial concepts are studied & researched to maximize the living experience and environmental design.
2. ART
Architecture is a public art. Architecture is a mode to see and be seen. Composition, movement, rhythm, form, volume, massing, balance & scale are studied & considered. Concepts are expressed with the appropriate tool. Concepts are prepared to transform into a machine for living.
3. TECHNOLOGY
Modern design calls for modern technology. Digital modeling & visualization are integral in designing a building. The efficiencies of modern technology are too important to be ignored. Modern programs & visualization help identify & eliminate inefficiencies & errors. 3d modeling must be used to help visualize & experience the building & it’s environment prior to construction.
4. REALITY
Concepts are well communicated & carried through completion of each project. During the building process there must be an ability to adapt & modify to the constraints of time & place to take advantage of new discoveries & opportunities that maximize the experience.
